What Makes Shawn O’Buckley Uniquely Qualified To Represent You?
Shawn earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University on a full 4-year Army scholarship and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1988. During Shawn’s military career, he served as an Engineer Officer and was honorably discharged as a Captain. He went on to receive his MBA from the University of Binghamton, his Juris Doctor from the University of Buffalo (with a concentration in finance transactions) and his Masters of Laws in Taxation from the University of Denver.
In addition to his military experience, Shawn worked as an underwriter and stock broker before becoming an attorney. His mastery of estate planning, probate, and tax law led him to The Hughes Law Firm.
After encountering elder law issues firsthand with his loved ones, Shawn has dedicated his practice to helping families plan for the future, protect their wealth, avoid probate, and navigate the probate system when necessary. Shawn’s experience as a probate litigator helps him mitigate common challenges that might arise in challenging cases.
Shawn lives with his wife Nellie, his in-laws, and his dogs. He enjoys spending time with his daughter Molly, cooking, martial arts, and rough housing with his pups.
